Sleeping At Last Update

Hello Everyone,

It's time for another Sleeping At Last news update. We hope you all had a great Thanksgiving and the sedating effects of tryptophan have worn off enough to enjoy the start of the Christmas season. We know this time of year is usually a busy one and this year is no exception for us. We are pleased to say that we have officially booked studio time starting in mid January to record our next full length album. As the time grows closer, we are more and more excited to get to work in the studio. We're very proud of the songs so far and hope you will enjoy them as well when the time comes.

As some of you may know, we recently released a new four song EP called "Ghosts of Christmas Past". It features two unreleased songs from the same recording sessions as our album "Ghosts" and also two Christmas songs we've recently recorded in our own studio. We've been looking for a home for these unreleased tracks for a while now and are happy for you to finally hear them. This cd will not be sold in stores so you can only get it at our shows and from our new online store, where we now accept credit cards through PayPal. Also in the store we have five new t-shirt designs to choose from. To visit the store just click the "products" link from the front page of our website.

Sincerely, Sleeping at Last

The Choir will be heading off to Philadelphia and The Woodlands Texas

and perhaps even Livonia, MI and a few places in-between. We promise to practice at least once! If you know of a church, club, promoter or college that would enjoy a live concert from The Choir please don't hesitate to pass on our booking agency information - Jesse Eubanks Provision National Booking jesse@provisionnational.com phone: 502.271.7644 http://www .provisionnational.com

"Nobody Gets A Smooth Ride" was released to Christian CHR and Rock radio recently for their airplay consideration. We hope some stations will give us a shot - it's been awhile since we've offered something new to radio. Steve sat down one morning and wrote some thoughts about "Nobody Gets A Smooth Ride"

Nobody Gets a Smooth Ride - songwriter glimpse. It’s hard to know what to say to a friend who is hurting. Nobody escapes suffering. Sometimes our affliction is a result of our own sin or foolishness – and other times tragedy seems completely random and unjust. Either way, grace is in order. Often the best a friend can offer is a sympathetic ear and a caring word. In the song, “Nobody Gets a Smooth Ride” I didn’t address true specific disasters such as cancer, divorce, the tsunami etc. Rather, I chose a whimsical indirect approach. (High flyers oughta use net) Our late great friend, Mark Heard, refused to go outside on New Year’s Eve because “people shoot bullets in the air.” He died of a heart attack – laughing. There’s something funny about a lot of sad things. And after all, our souls are eternal. “Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.” (Psalm 30:5) -Steve Hindalong/The Choir

Aaron Sprinkle News

I want to share some exciting news:

Many of you already know that I have started a new band called "Fair" with my friends Nick Barber, Joey Sanchez, and Erick Newbill. We've spent the last month in the studio making our first album (we're just about done) for Tooth and Nail Records and can't wait for you to hear it when it's finished.

We've got a new website at fairforever.com as well (my son Elliott did the artwork!). It includes a forum for you to interact with the band and each other, tons of photos from the studio and elsewhere, and a new mailing list.
[It's important that you sign up for the new mailing list if you want to stay informed about the band since it will be a separate list from others in the past.]

Also, myspace.com/fair is now being used exclusively for Fair (used to be Aaron Sprinkle / Fair).

I have set up a new myspace site at myspace.com/aaronsprinkle, so be sure to add yourself as a friend there too. I will continue to keep aaronsprinkle.net updated as well for my production and solo work.

Thank you all for your support. I'm really excited about Fair and the new record, and look forward to seeing you all at the shows.

-Aaron Sprinkle
