Who was more influential on music the Beach Boys or the Beatles?

Neither, it would be The Smiths, and New Order.

If you could claim any one song as your own (even if someone else wrote it) what would it be?

"Smells Like Teen Spirit"

Is British music better or is American music better?

Depends on the year.

If Starflyer 59 could exist during any decade in the past, what year would it be?

I would like the late eighties.

What are your top 5 favorite albums of all time?

Compulsion-"Comforter", The Smiths- "Strangeways", New Order-"Power,

Corruption, and Lies", Boo Radleys-"Finest Kiss", LSU-"Shaded Pain".

What do the current members of sf59 play live, and what do they play through?

For live a Line 6 combo, Ampeg head and cab, Ludwig drums.

How is it for you guys, balancing all the other bands you are involved in (Map, Joy Electric, Pony Express, Bon Voyage) with sf59?

Just do what you can when you can.

How does the new Bon Voyage sound?

I'll find out next month when it starts, should be cool.

What should we expect from the new sf59 EP?

Some slow jams, a cover tune, and an instrumental.

How do you feel about s59's being in the "Christian" music scene (signed to a Christian label, playing Christian festivals etc.) how does it effect you guys?

I am a christian, and don't mind the tag of being called a Christian band. Sometimes their is some weird things about it, but overall we are happy to be able to do what we do. Thanks for the interview.
