The Listening ...and we're off. First stop, Russia... We'll be playing four consecutive shows at the Port Club in St. Petersburg. Concerts are all ages, and free to the public. Port Club holds about 1,000 people, and every night is expected to be filled to capacity... Very, very exciting. Please keep us in your thoughts, wishes, and prayers as we head off to Russia for our very first time. We're anticipating it to be the adventure of a lifetime as we all encounter the Undiscovered together... We'll be blogging as frequently as we can on our myspace page. Check in with us, won't you? The Autumns- completed the bulk of the tracking for seven new songs and are in preproduction for the next seven. The more mathematically savvy among you will no doubt have noticed that this brings us to a sum of fourteen, an album's worth of new material. we are gearing up for two tours back-to-back. the first is with our dear friends COOL HAND LUKE. we have known these fine gentlemen for some time now, and it is our honor to accompany them through the mid-west for a week. after that, we join EDISON GLASS for a grand trek down the east coast in their mighty bus.

but before we bid farewell to northeast florida, we have two shows this week. the first is at the university of north florida, tomorrow. and the second is at murray hill theatre with our brethren HUNDRED YEAR STORM, who are on tour supporting their fantastic new album "hello from the children of planet earth". if you live in the area, please come and give us a grand send-off. much love.

Hammock Signs deal with Darla Records!

We just wanted to let you all know that Hammock has recently signed a deal with Darla Records, the San Diego-based label that will be releasing four records from our hero Robin Gutherie (Cocteau Twins), released the first recordings of My Morning Jacket and has worked with other artists like Japancakes, Windy and Carl, I Am Robot and Proud and Manual. A partnership with Darla just feels like a great fit and we're extremely excited about it.

We expect to release "Raising Your Voice...Trying to Stop an Echo" this Fall. There's still a lot of work to do, but we're hoping to get the record out in mid-late October. If you're interested in reading the press release announcing our partnership with Darla, just click here.

Sleeping At Last Update

Hello Everyone,
Well the time has finally arrived. This Sunday we will be heading back into the studio to record our new full length album. We can't tell you how excited we are to be recording again and to have you all hear these new songs. We are recording at the same studio here in Chicago that we recorded "Ghosts", Electrical Audio. It's an amazing studio with the best staff you can find. If you're interested in following along with our progress in the studio we will be keeping a daily studio journal right here on our message board. You will be able to read about what we are working on each day and all the other interesting stuff that goes into making an album. In addition to the daily journal entries we've been talking about the possibility of, if time allows, posting some video of the recording for you all to see.
