Album Review

Well the boy is back. Pigeon John is back with another ditty.
The LA rapper always seems to be on tour. I don't know how he
found the time to record a new album. He always seems to release
very entertaining albums. And of coarse "and the Summertime Pool
Party"
is no different.

Now onboard with a new label Quannum Projects. PJ comes to the
plate once again with his always ever present wit. Probably his
strongest attribute. PJ has got to be one of the most entertaining
rappers out there to date. He always has an interesting way of
getting his message across. For example, PJ on the song
"Do the Pigeon" talks about how fake the rap game can be.

"All these dudes telling lies for the fame and wealth. I would
rather kick back and be myself"

"Freaks! Freaks!" one of the better tracks on the disc is about
night life and how people go to such extents to obtain a cool
image. "The Last Image" probably the best tune on the cd.
Features guest appearances by RJD2 and J- Live. Which really
makes the song flow. The song seems to be about looking back on
life with regret. The best part about the song is PJ demonstrating
that he's no one trick pony. He sings the chorus and really
delivers it quite well.

Pigeon John has yet to disappoint. "and the Summertime Pool Party"
is another good set of songs, for the boy so many have come to love.
If you have never had the pleasure of owning a PJ disc. Well what
are you waiting for?

For fans of: Pharcyde, John Reuben, Tribe Called Quest, Jurassic 5,
Black Eyed Peas, Arrested Development, and
De La Soul.
