StG:
What is the dream that God has given you for Project
86? Where do you see yourself going in the next few
years?
Andrew:
The dream is and has always been to impact culture in
a powerful and relevant way with the truth. Hopefully
the next few years will be the fulfillment of that
dream.
StG:
What do you think God wants to do in your genre of
music? What needs do you see specific to your
audience, and how can those be met?
Andrew:
Actually, we don't really consider ourselves to be a
"rapcore" band. Our influences are much
different than that genre. We do see ourselves
appealing to many different types of heavy music
listeners, though. It seems that the common thread
among these types of fans is a very passionate longing
to fulfill very real voids in their lives. These types
of fans turn to heavy music as a very powerful source
of inspiration and identity, and therefore become very
devoted to the bands they listen to. Our goal is to
connect with these in the most powerful way
possible...through the spirit behind our music.
StG:
Describe one of your favorite moments with Project 86.
Andrew:
Anytime anyone tells me they have gained something
from the lyrics to the songs; that somehow I have been
used to enhance someone's life or helped them grow.
StG: What
would you like to say to all the soulblazers out
there?
Andrew: It
always keeps us longer than we wanted to stay and
always takes us further than we wanted to go.
