Album Review
Some of you might beware of Sleeping At Last's
major label debut
"Ghosts." Unfortunately they have since been
released from
Interscope Records. They have never had a problem
with coming
up with well crafted songs. These guys have a lot of
talent.
Capture demonstrates that statement over and over.
A very rough
around the edges kind of release. On some levels it's
near epic.
The killer riffs are there. Awesome arrangements linger
through
out. Ryan O'Neal's lyrics too often hit home. With
all that being
said this multi-layered release seems to go unnoticed.
The grinding guitars and swirling bass so often hit the
spot.
Sure the song writing isn't as good as what is featured
on "Ghosts."
Yet I find myself looking to this disc more often. This
may be a rough
around the edges kind of disc. But I just love the hard
driving songs.
This one is much harder then it's follow up "Ghosts."
"A Million Charming Words" is such a great song it
starts out simple
with great heart felt lyrics and then eases into a hard
charging in
your face guitar fest. Then it slips back into a almost
heart felt ballad,
what genies. Given the poetic lyrics the heart felt
guitars and general
just good song writing. You should really check this one
out. Sure it's
out of print but you can download it from their website.
